Race Information and Registration

Date & Time:   Race Start time is 7:30am
This is a 5K fun run/walk taking place on March 30, 2013 along the beautiful downtown Sanford Riverwalk.
The race will begin and end at Fort Mellon Park on Seminole Blvd.
The race will be followed by the City of Sanford’s annual Easter egg hunt in the park.
Kids run (free) – 8:30am – 10 and under – all registered kids will receive an Easter basket.

Beneficiary:
Proceeds from the race help to fund middle and high school students for participation on mission trips. New for 2013 – Church Challenge – list your church with your registration or add it race morning. The church with the greatest number of runners will receive $1000 for youth mission trips in addition to any individual sponsorships.

Registration and Entry Fees (All race fees are non-refundable)

  • Register  Online -   Adult registration only – $22
  • Register by mail – Click Here for Form – Adults $25
    Ages 17 & Under $15 (Youth registrations by mail only)
  • Register day of race starting at 6 a.m. – Registration fee $30
  • Kids Run registration – Day of Race only – Free

Packet Pick-Up:
Packet pickup race morning only at the race site starting at 6 am. Early packet pickup will be at Front Running Sports, 1061 South Sun Drive, Unit 1017 in Lake Mary. Packets for registrations made by Tuesday, March 26 can be picked up from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday or Friday. Registrations made Wednesday or Thursday can be picked up on Friday. Packet pickup on race day starts at 6 a.m. at the starting line.

T-shirts:
All pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt, though sizes are only guaranteed for registrations prior to March 26th.  T-shirts are not guaranteed for race day entries.

Restrictions:
For safety reasons, earphones, baby strollers, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates and dogs are prohibited from the race course.

Directions to Race/Parking
From the east. Take SR 46 west to Mellonville Avenue. Turn north  (right) on Mellonville Av, turn left on Second St, turn right on Sanford Av.  There is are three parking lots at the corner of Sanford Av. and First Street.

From I-4. Take Exit 98 (SR 46) and go west on SR 46. At 17-92, turn right onto 17-92 and get in the left lane. At the first light, turn left onto 3rd Street. Head east 8 blocks and turn left on Sanford Avenue to 1st Street. There are three parking lots at the corner of Sanford Av. and 1st Street

From SR 417. Take Exit 49 (Lake Mary Blvd/427) and turn north on CR 427. This becomes Sanford Av. Follow Sanford Av. to First Street. There are three parking lots at the corner of Sanford Av. and First Street.
